Think:Kids is looking for a Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) Certified Trainer to join our team! This a per diem, fully remote position with a flexible schedule. The primary responsibilities of the Trainer are to provide training and coaching in the CPS approach to parents, caregivers, and professionals across a wide variety of settings. Trainings and coaching take place primarily via videoconference but may require occasional travel for in-person training.   

This is a great opportunity for a passionate CPS Certified Trainer to apply their expertise on a large scale, gain professional development in both CPS and best practices of training and education, and collaborate with a team of people dedicated to the mission of helping youth succeed. CPS Certified Trainers who fit any of the following criteria are especially encouraged to apply: 

• Bi-lingual Spanish speaker 
• Experience with marginalized communities 
• Experience working in schools 
• Interest in equity & inclusion initiatives 
• Available to provide services on nights and weekends 

Job Expectations 

Training & Coaching 

• Lead virtual and/or in-person CPS Essential Foundations (Level 1) and Advanced Concepts (Level 2) trainings at least twice per year. These trainings are open to the public and serve multi-disciplinary professionals who work with and treat youth with behavior challenges. 
• Lead virtual CPS Parent/Caregiver Classes at least twice per year. These multi-session classes are offered to parents around the world.  
• Serve as a substitute for virtual CPS Coaching sessions as needed. These coaching sessions are conducted for small teams of staff at client organizations around the world.  

Administrative 

• Submit weekly timesheets on time and according to program guidelines. 
• Submit travel expense reports in a timely fashion and abide by all hospital travel expense policies. 
• Facilitate the completion of training evaluations and other online surveys at the end of trainings as required. 
• Follow all training and coaching tracking procedures and respond to e-mail in a timely manner. 

Other 

• Optional but recommended: Attend Trainer Team and All Staff meetings (currently scheduled for Thursday’s at 11am ET). 
• Assist with certification program activities as needed. This may include but is not limited to application reviews and preparation and/or leading of professional development webinars for the CPS Certified Community. 
• Assist with program-wide Equity & Inclusion initiatives which, depending on the employee’s relevant experience, may include supporting language translation projects, supporting individuals within our community who come from marginalized backgrounds, outreach activities, etc.   
• Maintain CPS Certified Trainer status through proper completion of all recertification requirements, with the exception of the annual fee which will be covered under your employment. 
• Other CPS teaching-related duties as needed. 

Qualifications 

• Active CPS Certified Trainer, required. 
• Bachelor’s degree, required; Professional license in psychology, social work, counseling, or education preferred.  
• Fluent in English, required; Fluent in Spanish, a plus. 

Core Competencies 

• Demonstrated expertise and understanding of the CPS approach. 
• Demonstrated expertise in training others in the CPS approach. 
• Excellent presentation and public speaking / training skills. 
• Ability to address a wide variety of audiences with varying levels of exposure to the CPS approach and varying cultural backgrounds. 
• Excellent interpersonal/communications skills. 
• Exceptional organizational skills, especially with respect to:
  • Managing responsibilities and priorities across multiple jobs (if working a part- or full-time job in addition to this per diem role) 
  • Calendar management 
  • Responding to e-mail in a timely manner 
  • Tracking and documentation 
  • Comfort with videoconference (Zoom) and online survey technology
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams is a plus  

Compensation 

$40 to $48 per hour, commensurate with experience. This is a non-benefits eligible position.
